Our Coco Peat Production Process
At St. Anthony’s Coco Peat (Pvt) Ltd, we convert coconut husks into premium, eco-friendly coco peat products through a careful and sustainable process. The process includes collecting husks, soaking, drying, sieving, and compressing them into blocks or bales. Each product is thoroughly quality-checked, securely packaged, and exported to international markets. Our coco peat is ideal for horticulture, agriculture, and hydroponics, offering a natural alternative to soil. We are committed to promoting sustainable farming practices while delivering high-quality growing media to customers around the world.
Collection & Dehusking
We source mature coconut husks from local farms and processing units. These husks are then dehusked to separate the coir fibers from the pith, laying the foundation for our coco peat products.
Retting & Fiber Extraction
The dehusked materials undergo retting—a natural soaking process that softens the fibers. This step facilitates the separation of coir fibers from the pith, ensuring the purity of the coco peat.
Washing & Buffering
The extracted coco peat is thoroughly washed with clean water to remove impurities and reduce salt content. Buffering is then performed to balance the pH levels, making the coco peat suitable for a wide range of plants.
Drying
Post-washing, the coco peat is sun-dried in expansive drying yards. This natural drying method reduces moisture content to optimal levels, preparing the peat for further processing.
Screening & Sieving
Once dried, the coco peat is screened and sieved to eliminate any remaining impurities and to achieve uniform particle sizes. This ensures consistency and quality in the final product.
Compression & Packaging
The processed coco peat is then compressed into various forms—such as blocks, briquettes, and grow bags—using hydraulic presses. These are packaged according to client specifications, ready for distribution.
